I grew up in China, lived in France and am now based in Montreal, Canada. I got my start in photography in 2002, when I broke up with a boyfriend and wanted to throw myself into something new. I borrowed a camera from my cousin to document my daily life. When I saw the developed film for the first time, I found joy in seeing what had only existed in my memories come to life again.
After I moved to Canada, the first thing I did was enroll in the photography program at Dawson College. In the beginning of 2015, I started sharing a studio with a few colleagues. In 2017, I made the leap and moved into my own studio in St-Henri, Montreal!
My favorite part of taking photos is the reactions of my clients when they see them for the first time. The joy and satisfaction it brings is what drives me. Figuring out how I want to photograph people is always challenging but fun. I want my clients to recognize their real selves in the photos, but also see themselves in a new light.
